The Kids Will be All Right!
This quarantine has been hard for a lot of adults... but not many people talk about how difficult it has been for kids. Children are aided to be able to run around a outside and play with their friends. When this all started, I was constantly having to tell Tre that the playground or other places that we usually go to are all closed. It took him a few weeks to get it and now he rarely asks. Now that the weather is so nice in Atlanta, he’s been asking about. King to the playground again and it’s tough telling him no. He will walk outside and tell me how nice the weather is and that he wants to go somewhere fun. I do my best to keep him entertained at home, but honestly it’s hard to do all the time. This past weekend a few of my friends all got together with our kids so they can just play outside in an open area. It was so nice to see the light on all of their faces as they ran free played, and laughed. I don’t think things are going to fully go back to normal this summer, but I’m looking forward to more days like the one we had on Saturday. My friend Naisha lives really close to me and we will continue to do our best to make this a great summer for these littles. ☀️
